Many items ship for FREE!
We don’t charge for any shipping costs at all when you spend a minimum of $200 ($300 for Australian orders) if you order standard sized items and have a non-rural address. Larger or very large items do incur shipping charges but we only pass on what it costs us to send and these rates will appear once you have the item in your cart and add your address. See below for more details on which items attract shipping fees and what the fees are.

At Recreation Station we know you are after a good deal so we tend to keep our margins very tight and often undercut the prices in big chain stores by a significant amount, particularly on the past-season stock for which we are most famous, so we need to pass on shipping charges for the larger items.

The courier company we use sets its own boundaries for rural and non-rural rates and these boundaries may be different to those of NZ Post. We don’t use NZ Post as their rates are, overall, more expensive so we opted to use Aramex for fast delivery and an overall lower cost to our customers. If you do not select the ‘Free Shipping with $8 Rural Surcharge’ option and your address comes up as rural, we will email you requesting you deposit the rural surcharge into our account. Please note, this will delay delivery.

Small items - This includes golf balls, gloves, accessories, clothing (excluding wetsuits), hats, tennis balls and other small goods that are not bulky or heavy.

Standard items - This includes golf clubs (but not full sets of clubs), iron sets, small golf practice turf mats or any longer item that is not too heavy and fits in our standard box.

Snowboard - This is any snowboard without bindings.

Golf bag - This category also covers snowboard boots and Junior sets of golf clubs.

Snowboard with bindings - This will be sent in two seperate packages.

Full golf set - This is for a full set of clubs including a bag. Most golf trundlers are also in this category.

Surfboard - This is one flat rate for any length of surfboard.

Large golf mat - This is for large driving-range style golf mats.

Please note that we do not currently ship skis but we can arrange a quote for you if you get in touch with us.

We usually dispatch same day and most orders arrive within 2-4 working days. Rural delivery can take an extra day and, on occasion, there are disruptions to normal service time due to a number of possible reasons. Rest assured we always to our bit to get your item on its way promptly.

Sure! We are open 7 days a week and we’d love to see you in our store. You will be asked for item details and for some personal details before we hand over your item.
Please note that for online orders you must pay online with credit card or bank transfer. You can pay by bank transfer in store but no cash is accepted in store for orders placed online.

Yes, but as per shipping table above, we can currently only ship to Australia using our standard box.

Yes, we are happy to arrange this.

Yes, any instructions you would like us to add to the package label about where it should be left by the courier will be included. It is however your responsibility to ensure the place you have instructed the courier to leave it is accessible and sufficiently secure. Once the item is delivered as per your instructions, its security becomes your responsibility.

If any package is delivered but appears damaged you must take pictures of it before you open it and then open it and inspect the item. If it is damaged you must inform us immediately and we will take steps to begin the claim process with the courier company. If you are delivered the wrong item, DO NOT USE IT, inform us immediately and we will arrange a replacement.
