About Recreation Station

We got started in Christchurch in July 2019 when we realised that, particularly with golf, people had a very limited choice in shopping unless they were happy to buy the latest models brand new. There was nowhere people could go to browse a big range of used gear in one place. Looking at (and asking questions about) one item at a time via online auction sites is time-consuming, frustrating and people also worried about whether or not they might end up buying product that was not authentic when buying from a private seller. Thus, Recreation Station was born.

After two years operating from the garage we moved to a retail store but, within 18 months we outgrew that and are now at a huge new store at 85 Clarence St, Riccarton, Christchurch and can boast that we easily have the LARGEST SELECTION OF USED GOLFING GEAR IN THE COUNTRY! And these days we have a massive selection of snowboard, ski, winter clothing, racket sports gear and hiking and soccer equipment.

We specialise in a mix of new, used, ex-demo and outlet sports and recreation gear meaning you can get your favourite golf, tennis, soccer, surf, ski and snowboard brands at sale prices. It’s the perfect way to stock up on cheap skis and snowboards for kids going up a size, or for those just those looking to grab a bargain on golfing, surfing, hiking or other sports equipment.
