Golf Club Condition
Most golf clubs are in excellent condition. See below for an explanation of the grading system.
Please note we usually get feedback that we were too harsh in our ratings. We will keep it that way. We’d rather you be pleasantly surprised than the opposite.
Note also that our grading is an OVERALL grading and depends on where the imperfections are. A mark on the face or the top of the club (seen from address) will always carry more weight than a worn grip or marks on the underside.

10 = Brand new
9 = Almost brand new. Only small signs that the club has ever been used.
8 = Light scuff marks on the under side of club head, otherwise like new.
7 = As above but with other slight imperfections on the shaft or head. Still in very good condition.
6 = A number of wear marks all over the club but still overall in a good used condition.
5 = Faded or worn grip, more visible marks all over, on shaft or some wear on the head.
4 = As per above but with marks on face of club or significant marking.
3 = Heavy marking and/or damage on head or marks on shaft/ imperfections on grip.
2 = Very rough but functional. (we’ve never listed one like this)!
1 = Garbage!
